Looking for great singletrack?
All inclusive, fully supported singletrack mountain bike holidays based in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This adventure is 'linear' which means you will stay in a different location each night. However, you only ride with your normal day pack as everything else is taken from each nights location to the next by the support vehicle. This helps keep the riding faster, lighter and more fun - it also means you get to explore the singletrack at the heart of the high atlas mountains!
What's the singletrack like?
The singletrack is fast and flowing with a descending gradient. There is also plenty of technical sections to keep you on your toes but sustained rocky sections are rare and the grip is usually very good. There will be some singletrack climbing into remote villages and a few of the days will have optional (but recommended) climbs on dirt track to get to the higher passes. Over 70% of your ride time will be on singletrack!
This Morocco package is for the capable mountain biker. Without exception! If you can ride the singletrack on black routes at most of the UK trail centers you will be ok. However, if you find these are out of your league, we recommend you visit Freeridespains XC/All Mountain holiday packages. These are still great fun and will help you develop the skills required - not only for the UK trail centers, but will also get you ready for your Morocco mountain biking singletrack adventure!
The emphasis is definitely on riding the best trail possible. However, that does not mean you need to sacrifice all other aspects of your holiday. Like all the best mountain bike holidays, we include great food, hospitality and a true mountain bike mountain experience never to forget. Why Morocco with Freeridemorocco?
Simon and Emma have been running holiday companies for over ten years with great success. The success has come from a combination of providing some of the best riding available in the world (no easy task itself!) and continually changing and adapting their service with the demands and requirements of the ‘more skilled’ mountain biker who is in search of the best singletrack trails.
Simon and Emma were running a company called Freeridespain when they first explored the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The riding in Spain is incredible, but the riding in Morocco…Well, lets say it’s like Spain, but on steroids!
After years of exploring for the best singletrack in Morocco and trying three different companies to provide the support needed, Simon found Housinne, Jamal, Mohammed and Assa. A professional, reliable and very competent team to work with in Morocco who provide the support and facilities only the locals know about.
Freeridemorocco was born!
The team at Freeridemorocco have put together a truly fantastic package. An emphasis on sublime singletrack without sacrificing the experience of a completely different culture which includes incredible food, hospitality, isolation and hardship. To call a week with Freeridemorocco a holiday is not doing justice, it’s not a holiday, its an adventure! You will ride singletrack on steep gorges, riverbeds, canyons, ridgelines and terraces. You will also experience the incredible Berber hospitality and witness the hard war of life, experience fantastic food and more!
